About us
Our story on Madeira began in 2018. At first, we were simply looking for a new adventure, but we found so much more. From the very beginning, we felt it: this is home.
Before we even had any furniture, we heard about a weekly BBQ at the little bar up the street. Curious and a little unsure, we decided to go. Surrounded by laughter, music, and the smell of grilled food, we quickly realized what makes this island so special: the warmth and openness of its people. In that moment, we knew we were in the right place.
Today, we cherish the quiet village life, surrounded by banana gardens, sea views, and friendly neighbors. We take care of our apartments, our garden, and our chickens and we truly enjoy welcoming guests into this small family project of ours.
Our son Leon has also found his passion here: on his private Jeep Safaris, he takes guests to the island’s hidden treasures – from wild mountain landscapes to breathtaking coastal views. For many of our guests, a tour with Leon has become one of the most unforgettable highlights of their stay.
We live only a few minutes from the apartments, always close by if questions come up or local tips are needed. Most of all, we want every guest to feel welcome, just as we did when we first arrived.

On arrival, we found a bottle of wine along with pasta and tomato sauce for our first dinner – we really appreciated that.
